Photog friends, hello! I think it’s time we take a good look at your photography business. How many courses have you signed up for? Youtube videos you’ve watched? Tutorials you’ve read and re-read over and over again. But nothing is cohesive! You could work for hours on updating your style, adjusting your branding, and figuring out your voice in this world.

So, in the spirit of Thanks, I want to offer you a solution to all of that. I’ve created a guide that will provide you with the answers you’re looking for to change the direction your going in three easy steps.

Step one: Your Look.

In this guide I am giving you my GO TO preset for my digital work. Yes. Giving. Because it took me so so long to nail my style. I bounced back and forth from trend to trend, wishing I just had someone give me the permission to have my own look despite it all. So in honor of that, I want to be that voice that maybe you need. There’s no charge, there’s no regret, and there’s no obligation to keep it exactly the way it is. Just a Lightroom Preset that I stand by, and offer you in hopes that it can help.

Step Two: Your Brand.

Because Branding is a whole series of conversations, I want to keep this brief. Your brand is an experience. If you are starting out your experience with your clients with a .wix website listing your pricing and details, or a PDF you slapped together in photoshop, you might not be offering your initial experience in the best possible way you can.

Also in this guide, you will find a simple, free pricing guide that you can attach to your emails and send to clients to show them you’ve got it together. And you can make $$$ look GOOD.

Step Three: Your Words.

Lastly, the way you greet or speak with your clients has a huge affect on your brand. For better or for worse! Save your clients the !!!!!s and give them the goods. Also included in this guide are two free email templates for your first interactions with your clients to start off on the right foot. It’s completely customizable so you can make it sound like you. Finding the right words to say used to be hard. Good thing you don’t have to!

So, what are you waiting for? Jump in head first. The best way to learn and grow is by getting out and doing the damn thing. I have complete trust you’re going to turn heads next year. You, friend, are a storm of talent. I can’t wait to see you go!

So…Thanksgiving.

Everyone has their own set of traditions and things they like to do, but I for one, describe my perfect holiday like this: I wake up early like I would normally do. The sun is shining through my window and there’s a slight chill in the air. I stretch myself out of bed to make a pot of coffee while I wait for everyone else to wake up. Before the cooking begins, we start off with an easy breakfast. The rest of the cooking will begin shortly. There’s a smell of cinnamon and coffee wafting through the house. On the TV is the Thanksgiving Day Parade. There’s no rush to accomplish anything. Just peace before the oven switches on.

Dear Brides, Yes, You Can Have a Perfect Wedding

No matter what you might be thinking now, you can have the perfect wedding. The key, though, is teamwork. I am so lucky to be involved in a community filled with so many talented and hard working creative women, all joining together on a mission to give you a memorable and beautiful day.

Essential Daily Life-Changing Resources

Essential Daily Life-Changing Resources

Okay, let’s talk about productivity. If you’re anything like me, the mention of organization and science of habits, your eyes widened and you mouthed “yes please!” (Either that was spot on or dramatized, you let me know). Whether or not we can related, I’m here to talk about my favorite productivity resources for an easy flowing work day.

These are not exclusive to those who work at home and can be used to shape up your personal life as well as business! These are my THREE essentials this Winter. And I don’t use “essential” lightly. Let’s talk about the easiest to jump start / the newest on my phone: Fabulous.

The Importance of Community

The Importance of Community

When you’re struggling, when you feel off your game, or like you can’t stay focused on what matters, where do you turn? I hope it’s to your community. It doesn’t matter if yours has ten people in it, or one. These are the people you are meant to rely on the most when stuff gets hard. And even better, they are the ones to celebrate with in all of your victories.

This was Devan’s goal when she started Together last year. Originally it started as a “Bosslady conference experience, but she realized shortly after the first one in February that she wanted to open it up to be an all inclusive entrepreneur experience. She didn’t want to limit her community or have her attendees to do the same.

Jaimie + Joe : Mountains of Love

Jaimie + Joe : Mountains of Love

If your dream is to get married in the Scandinavian mountains surrounded by wildflowers and folk music, maybe consider Skibowl on Mount Hood for inspiration. That is precisely what Jaimie and Joe had in mind for their gorgeous, sunny, Friday wedding in September.

Jaimie’s bouquet was picked from the freshest blooms in a friend’s garden. Although the color scheme wasn’t intentional, they chose one of vibrancy and playfulness. Exactly what you’d hope for in a mountaineer inspired wedding.
