A couple weeks ago Jem and I took a trip to Bend to photograph an engagement shoot at Smith Rock. It was our first time at the park, so we made sure to arrive early to get a little bit of exploring time in. I began to vlog some of the experiences to share with you as we approached our destination, as well as what we saw on our way back to Portland. It was a fun and memorable experience for the both of us, and we are so excited to see how our images turned out! Check out the vlog below and don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more!
What better way to start a Saturday morning than to get up hours before sunrise to view the Royal Wedding of Harry and Meghan? I can't think of many things that would encourage me to set my alarm earlier than 4am. It was hard not to laugh at the irony of the gorgeous bride in groom on my television in contrast to the image of a girl in her pjs under the covers wiping the sleep out of her eyes. Anything for love, right?

From moving to Portland, to my favorite book series, I offer you all the fun stories and little facts that will get us to know each other a little better!

Believe it or not, there's a lot more going on in my day than just shooting and editing photos! On Sunday, Jem and I wanted to share with you what an average weekend looks like for us. In addition to being Wedding Photographers, we are stereotypical Portland specialty coffee lovers, popcorn enthusiasts, trained Ikea shoppers, and just plain goofballs.
What can be more time consuming than labeling, stamping, sealing, and mailing out hundreds of invitations to guests who may or may not be able to attend your wedding? I can't think of anything! But worry not, because I have all the invitation and rsvp hacks and tips you need to free up your calendar for more relaxation time (or planning time if you're the hustling type).
Is a family photo really complete without your pups? When planning engagement sessions with my couples, I am asked frequently 'what is the etiquette when bringing a dog to an engagement session'. Personally I'm an animal lover, so any extra time I get to play with happy pups is time well spent. But not every photographer is as eager to bring them along. If your pets are hard to keep track of, they run off when they see another animal, or they are less behaved outdoors than indoors, sure, maybe it's not such a great idea to bring them along. Either way, I've got some tips to help you plan for the best session with your sweet animals without feeling overwhelmed or unsure how to capture the right moments.
