A couple weeks ago Jem and I took a trip to Bend to photograph an engagement shoot at Smith Rock. It was our first time at the park, so we made sure to arrive early to get a little bit of exploring time in. I began to vlog some of the experiences to share with you as we approached our destination, as well as what we saw on our way back to Portland. It was a fun and memorable experience for the both of us, and we are so excited to see how our images turned out! Check out the vlog below and don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more!
What better way to start a Saturday morning than to get up hours before sunrise to view the Royal Wedding of Harry and Meghan? I can't think of many things that would encourage me to set my alarm earlier than 4am. It was hard not to laugh at the irony of the gorgeous bride in groom on my television in contrast to the image of a girl in her pjs under the covers wiping the sleep out of her eyes. Anything for love, right?
Whether or not you've been following me for a while, I decided it was time to give you a little more insight to who I am away from my camera! It's common knowledge by now that becoming a wedding photographer was something I fell into by accident, but photography has always been a part of my life. From moving to Portland, to my favorite book series, I offer you all the fun stories and little facts that will get us to know each other a little better!
There are few things more important to me than empowering women. In my field, not only in boudoir, I work with women who are camera shy, or are seeking the confidence they know they have in them. There is nothing more I can do in return than make them feel powerful, beautiful, important, and worth every second. This is what boudoir is. I am a boudoir photographer for the shy girls. I am a boudoir photographer for the girls who aren't afraid to be the boss. I am a boudoir photographer to say thank you to the women who are unashamed of who they were born to be.
