The greatest part about being an engagement photographer is easily the adventures you get to share with your clients. Especially here in Oregon! With a week's notice, Jem and I changed our coastal plans to make a trip to Bend to share one of these said adventures with Tierney and Mark. How lucky are we that we have so many options! So we packed our bags and drove down to visit Smith Rock State Park for the first time. One of the top locations on my "Must Shoot" list.
So what do you think my number one asked question is when it comes to ANY portrait session is? Did you guess 'picking outfits'? Cause that's the answer! Trust me, even I fail at picking my own on camera outfits as well. It's not easy! But every season I try and ease the stress by creating a style guide to help find colors and textures that work well on camera. For my own wardrobe, this has helped a LOT!
We are one weekend down on Mini Sessions and I've been having an absolute blast! This year is also full of firsts: first newborn session, first proposal anniversary session, and first time offering minis indoor (this weekend only!) I wanted to share a couple samples of what joy these sessions bring me. And if these sessions are on your radar, I only have a few spots open for the rest of the year! The sessions start at $100 and only last through the end of November. Don't miss out! And in the meantime, see below why these sessions are so special.
We're back another year with another collection of Holiday cards, and these are my favorite yet! This year I decided to narrow the options down to create a more refined selection, but with enough variety to fit everyone's taste. You can check out the samples below!
These customizable Holiday Cards are available A La Carte for all my 2017 clients, but will also be included in certain Holiday Minis packages. If you haven't booked a Mini Session (starting at $100), reach out as soon as possible before my session slots run out! Holiday Card orders must be placed no later than December 10th. Cards are ordered in sets of 25 at $30 ($1.20 per card), and includes envelopes and free shipping.
What sweeter feeling is there than to be a witness of a couple's love? When Pierre asked me to document his proposal, I had to really contain my excitement! Having worked with him and Jacqline before, it was an honor I didn't take lightly. Their love and energy is truly radiant and unique, and being able to serve as a photographer and artist for these moments is what I really live for.
We held their session early in February to celebrate Valentine's Day, and we lucked out with the most beautiful day of the month. Although the sun is shining, the air was cold! I asked Suzannah to help me out with today's blog, since she's a blogger herself after all, and talk about her relationship with her husband. We chat about how they met, their first date, and what they like to do now a few years after marriage. I'm lucky to have connected with this sweet girl!
