Casey's father described her relationship with Jeff as close to fate as possible. He explained that he doesn't believe in a love destiny, but his daughter changed his mind.
Casey and Jeff have known each other for the majority of their lives. She was the girl next door, and he was the best friend she fell in love with. The tides pushed and pulled, but fate had its own plans. West coast, and east coast. They still met in the middle. Over seas and homeland. They still met in the middle. There was a string connecting the two, an everlasting one that could never be broken.
In August the two wed, with the friends and family who had been there since the start. Youngberg Hill Vineyards was the place they would say yes.
As avid wine tasters, they stumbled upon this by accident. Or perhaps, another move made by fate. They said their I do's with wine and sunshine. A literal dream come true.
At home they now keep a box. A keepsake and reminder of their love and fortune. In the box are personal letters, addressed to each other before the wedding day. It is their vows. Their deepest love written on paper, to be read and remembered on their happiest occasion.
It was explained that, if for some reason, their marriage would shake, they could reach for this box, share a bottle of wine, and read what their spouse said before their wedding day. There would be no fight to break their string.
They said yes. And have been for decades. No matter what the storms will bring, what separation is caused, or fight will be had. Yes is forever and always.
