Holiday Minis (Part 2): Holiday Bridal

So technically this isn't a real Holiday mini session, but it was a mini session during the Holidays! Kelsey and I made a visit to Portland Center Stage (an amazing theatre and wedding venue) to snap a few Holiday inspired images in an art deco setting to show off the dress that goes along. Thankfully for me, I had the most amazing wedding planner tag along for most of the session, Vanessa Humphreys of Little Miss Planner. This woman is dynamite and really really really loves what she does. To all the brides out there looking for your perfect art deco venue...it's definitely The Gerding Theatre. And if you're looking for a hardworking day of planner...it's definitely Vanessa. Trust me ladies they make a great pair together.

Usually when I edit my favorite images, I make two or three images black & white at the most, but this entire collection was meant to be monochromatic. Although the colors in the lobby were gorgeous teals and oranges, the dark shadows the black and white images accentuate made them too perfect not to create duplicates for every image! My favorite part about editing this set, however, was giving them a musty and moody look, like that of film. If you've been following me long enough, you'll know that film photography is where my heart flutters. I've been shooting film much longer than digital and I'm so happy with how these images recreated that style.  Enjoy these stunning photos of Kelsey, and I'll see you guys again tomorrow!
